Chasing Dream – Your Pathway to Success as an International Student
The “Chasing Dream” Workshop, hosted by The Young Visionaries in collaboration with Van Houston Academy and featured by the Houston Vietnamese American Development Organization (HVAD), created a meaningful space for young students preparing to study abroad.
Held at Van Houston Academy, 9531 Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX, the event brought together students, mentors, and experienced speakers to share real-life insights about studying and adapting to life in a new country.
A Journey of Inspiration and Connection
With the theme “Your Pathway to Success as an International Student”, the workshop explored common challenges faced by students — from language barriers and cultural differences to academic pressures and homesickness.
Through open conversations and honest stories, participants found comfort in knowing they are not alone in their journey.
Speakers shared personal experiences of growth, resilience, and success, offering practical advice on how to overcome difficulties and make the most of international education opportunities.
The session also featured interactive Q&A segments, giving attendees a chance to ask questions directly and receive tailored guidance from the speakers.
